I contacted Angela because I needed help with nutrition mainly to get an understanding and education of what I should be eating before, during and after an endurance event. Previously I have finished events but within a few hours collapsed and ended up in hospital.
Competing is something I enjoy but I stopped 3 years ago because I couldn’t cope with the symptoms after events. So I joined with Angela for two months with my goal being to finish The End to End Walk, get a pb set 3 years ago but not get unwell after. I listened to everything Angela told me, followed her plan and on my half marathon in August I felt great throughout, got a 3 minute pb and felt great after.
On Sunday I completed the End to End, got a 2.15 minute pb, was top 20, 7th female and felt absolutely brilliant after. My support crew are thrilled and I am truly amazed at the difference the correct nutrition made. I now know what to do but not only that I understand food, I know what macros are and will continue to track my daily intake because it makes sense to. I don’t feel guilty about having certain things any more, Angela is a “realist”, life is all about balance and that’s what she encourages.
The client group is supportive and you feel part of a friendship group, everyone with different reasons for being with Angela but all needing help. The sign up process is great but I needed help and Angela met me and went through it with me, nothing was any trouble.
No contract which pleases me as I only needed the knowledge for the specifically for my sport and now I can do it on my own. Angela is about helping people, there’s no financial pressure. I’m thrilled that I joined with Angela and I owe my 1st lady trophy tomorrow night at presentation to Angela. I can’t thank her enough.
